Cumin-Paprika Spiced Pecans
Excellent for snacking, antipasti plates, salads, pasta or added to a fruit crisp topping.
Ingredients:
1c hazelnuts or pecans
1/2tsp salt
1/4tsp paprika (smoked sweet, Hungarian, regular, or otherwise)
Couple of dashes of cumin.
Several shakes of white pepper if desired
2-3tsp olive oil.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Add more salt, paprika, and/cumin to taste. Nuts should be well coated. Your version of this recipe is perfect if you keep sneaking tastes while you wait for the oven to temp up.
Oven at 300
Bake for 10-15 min. Until sizzling, fragrant, and color has slightly darkened.
